Life will always contain uncertainty.

But if the mind begins to say:
“Without my guru, I am not safe.”

“If I do not have my guru's photograph or name with me, I will emotionally fall apart.”
then there is a possibility that psychological dependence is developing.
11. What Could Be the Most Balanced and Mature Position?
Perhaps it is this:
Make the guru your support, but do not place your entire inner strength outside yourself.
The presence of a guru can help you turn inward.
Their name can remind you of awareness.
Their photograph can help you become still.
Their darshan can give you an experience of devotion and faith.
But gradually, that same stability should also develop within you.
Then the relationship with the guru can become something like:
“You are a means through which the strength within me is awakened; you do not live my life in my place.”
