Maven, Connector, or Salesperson: What’s Your Archetype? MARKETING/SALES

Image
In the book  The Tipping Point , author Malcolm Gladwell talks about three different archetypes of people: mavens, connectors, and salespeople. If you’re a changemaker, this framework can help you see why you work the way you do. Mavens make change happen through information and ideas.  These are the people you ask whenever you want to know something about anything — they’re always the people in the know. They’re builders, engineers, process folks, and system folks. It’s all about the ideas and the information. You might be a maven if: You often feel overwhelmed because you have so many big ideas to unpack. You’re often frustrated by how “thin” a lot of information seems. You can get lost for days working on one idea, or spend months happily exploring the depths of one idea. Your expression is largely about ideas and information, rather than about people or sizzle. Connectors make change happen through people . They galvanize people. They’re natural hubs. That’...

COACHING Most Managers Don’t Know How to Coach People. But They Can Learn

Are you successful at coaching your employees? In our years studying and working with companies on this topic, we’ve observed that when many executives say “yes,” they’re ill-equipped to answer the question. Why? For one thing, managers tend to  think  they’re coaching when they’re actually just telling their employees what to do. According to  Sir John Whitmore , a leading figure in executive coaching,  the definition of coaching is  “unlocking a person’s potential to maximize their own performance. It is helping them to learn rather than teaching them.” When done right, coaching can also help with employee engagement; it is often more motivating to bring your expertise to a situation than to be told what to do. Recently, my colleagues and I conducted a study that shows that most managers don’t understand what coaching really is — and that also sheds light on how to fix the problem. ...

Why Meditation is Necessary

*WHY  MEDITATION is  necessary from the Medical Science's point of view?*💐🌷🙋 *From the time of the  birth till be death the heart works continuously. Everyday the heart pumps 7000 litres of blood, of which 70% blood is pumped to the Brain and the remaining 30% to the rest of body.* *How does the heart work so efficiently and effectively?* *Heart works effectively because it follows a discipline. In normal conditions the heart takes 0.3 secs to contract {systole} and 0.5 secs to relax {diastole}.* *So, 0.3 + 0.5 = 0.8 secs are required by the heart to complete one beat {1 cardiac cycle}.* *That means in 1 min, the heart beats 72 times which is considered as normal heart beat.* *During the relaxing phase of 0.5 secs the impure blood travels through the lungs and becomes 100% pure.* *In some stressful conditions, the body demands more blood in less time and in this situation the heart reduces the relaxing period of 0.5 secs to 0.4 secs. Thus,...

Science Behind Navratri

I never knew this relationship of Science & Mythology. We receive 50% nuclear DNA from mother and 50% from father. But we receive 100% mitochondrial DNA from mother. And that that is very special. Mitochondrial DNA is the small circular chromosome found inside mitochondria. These organelles found in cells have often been called the powerhouse of the cell. The mitochondria, and thus mitochondrial DNA, are passed almost exclusively from mother to offspring through the egg cell. Mitochondria produce ATP. ATP is energy currency of biological system. For everything you do, you require ATP.  ATP is source of energy for doing all activities. For example , moving hand you consume billions of ATPs. In short you received Power (energy DNA) from mother. Mother received from her mother ... And so on. And then I realised in Mythology, God of Power is Mother ... Adi-shakti Yes Maa Shakti ! How perfect is our understanding since ages and ages... Happy Navratri ...
