Why Is Vinayaka (Ganesha) placed in front of Temples?

वक्रतुण्ड   महाकाय   सूर्यकोटि   समप्रभ
निर्विघ्नं कुरु मे देव सर्वकार्येषु सर्वदा

"Vakra Tunda Maha Kaya Surya Koti Sama Praba
Nirvignam Kurume Devo Sarvakaryeshu, Sarvada"

Is a shloka we have been reciting from childhood the meaning of which when seen through many Indian languages (rather than coming from what we have been meticulously reciting thinking it is Sanskrit and beyond common understanding) holds the answer to your question why is Ganesha kept in the front of the temple or is the first to be worshiped.
वक्र Vakra = a wave or a curve,

तुण्ड Tunda= particles or pieces..
महा Maha .=. magnanimous,
काय Kaya= job, or action,..
सूर्य Surya= Sun
कोटि Koti= Millions of stars ..
सम Sama=. Equal,
प्रभ Praba = radiance ...
निर्विघ्नंNirvignam =uninterrupted ...
कुरु मे Kurume performer, or executor
देव Devo= panchabutha ,elements the world is made of,
सर्वकार्येषुSarvakaryeshu = every action, all-functioning,...
सर्वदा Sarvada=. Always. ( every word of this translates to kannada ,Tamil, telegu and many Indian languages)
meaning

The SUN who is a star among millions of stars, radiating equal, Light, in the form of waves and particles,
Performing the magnanimous Job [light being the sustainer of all living organisms] uninterrupted. Is responsible for every action.
[The modern physics theory 1930.[ light is a practical, light is a wave].
So Ganesha means LIGHT and his 108 names are but 108 functions of LIGHT

AND since all MATTER (means all DEVAs/Devathas /panchbuthas ) came from LIGHT he is the FIRST to be worshiped.
