How We Do Things Vs How The Ambanis Do Them

How We Do Things Vs How The Ambanis Do Them

Some people are rich. Others are affluent. Then there is the Ambani family.
Mukesh Ambani walked into a bar, and bought it. That was predictable. Then an elderly woman asked him,” Beta ghar-war liya ki nahi?” And he replied,” Haan Anti-lia.” Sorry.See, I’m not jealous, I’m just envious at a very high intensity; and the amount of money this family has certainly let’s them do things differently. Their cars are better. Their home is better. And their hobbies are clearly on another level. And by the way, wealth, is certainly not a state of mind.

256 YEARS OLD MAN BREAKS THE SILENCE BEFORE HIS DEATH AND REVEALS SHOCKING SECRETS TO THE WORLD

What is the longest a person has ever lived for?  Meet Li Ching Yuen, a man who lived an astonishing 256 years!  And no, this is not a myth or a fictional tale.
According to a 1930 New York Times article, Wu Chung-chieh, a professor of the Chengdu University, discovered Imperial Chinese government records from 1827 congratulating Li Ching-Yuen on his 150th birthday,  and further documents later congratulating him on his 200th birthday in 1877.   In 1928, a New York Times correspondent wrote that many of the old men in Li’s neighborhood asserted that their grandfathers knew him when they were boys, and that he at that time was a grown man.
Li Ching Yuen reportedly began his herbalist career at the age of 10, where he gathered herbs in mountain ranges and learned of their potency for longevity. For almost 40 years, he survived on a diet of herbs such as lingzhi, goji berry, wild ginseng, he shoo wu and gotu kola and rice wine. In 1749, at the age of 71, he joined the Chinese armies as teacher of martial arts.  Li was said to be a much-loved figure in his community, marrying 23 times and fathering over 200 children.
According to the generally accepted tales told in his province, Li was able to read and write as a child, and by his tenth birthday had traveled in Kansu, Shansi, Tibet, Annam, Siam and Manchuria gathering herbs. For the first hundred years he continued at this occupation. Then he switched to selling herbs gathered by others.   He sold lingzhigoji berry, wild ginsenghe shou wu and gotu kola along with other Chinese herbs, and lived off a diet of these herbs and rice wine.
He Wasn’t The Only One
According to one of Li’s disciples, he had once encountered an even older 500-year-old man, who taught him Qigong exercises and dietary recommendations that would help him extend his lifespan to superhuman proportions.  Apart from Qigong and a herb-rich diet, what else can we learn from this Master of Longevity?
How about this:  On his death bed, Li famously said, “I have done all that I have to do in this world”.  Could his peaceful last words also hint at one of the biggest secrets to a long and prosperous life?  It’s interesting to note that in the West, we’re often taught to believe that aging is something that must be “beaten” with high tech infrared devices and state of the art medication.
His Secret To Long Health:
Li was asked what his secret was to longevity.  This was his reply:  “Keep a quiet heart, sit like a tortoise, walk sprightly like a pigeon and sleep like a dog.” These were the words of advice Li gave to Wu Pei-fu, the warlord, who took Li into his house to learn the secret of extremely long life.
Li maintained that inward calm and peace of mind combined with breathing techniques were the secrets to incredible longevity.  Obviously, his diet would have played a large role.  But its fascinating that the old living person in recorded history attributes his long life to his state of mind.
Why Is This So Hard To Believe?
With the average lifespan for the Western world currently sitting between 70-85 years, the thought of someone living over 100 years old seems like quite the stretch.  The thought of someone living over 200 years old seems extremely suspicious.  But why don’t we believe that people can live this long?
We have to keep in mind that some people in this world don’t live a grueling 9-5 lifestyle, they don’t have to deal with the stresses of debt, they aren’t breathing polluted city air, and they exercise regularly.  They don’t eat refined sugars or flour, or any foods that have had pesticides sprayed on them.  They aren’t living off of the standard American diet.
They aren’t eating fatty meats, sugary deserts, and genetically modified foods.  No antibiotics.  No alcohol and no tobacco.  Their diets not only exclude junk foods that we so often indulge in, they also include superfoods and herbs which are like steroids for our organs and immune system.
They also spend their spare time in nature practicing breathing techniques and meditating which have been proven to improve mental, physical, and emotional health.  They keep things simple, get proper sleep, and spend a great deal of time in nature under the sun.  When we get a chance to relax in the sun, we feel instantly rejuvenated and call this a “vacation”.  Imagine spending a lifetime doing that in the mountains, and combining that with perfect mental, spiritual, and physical well-being.
I do not doubt for a minute that if we all did the things we knew we were supposed to do, that living to be 100 years old would be commonplace.  When we treat our bodies right, who knows how long we can live for?

Interesting Pics..

time will come

Time Will Come!

Some one is still single.. Someone got married and 'waited' 10 yrs before having a child, there is another who had a baby within a year of marriage.

Someone graduated at the age of 22, yet waited 5 years before securing a good job; and there is another who graduated at 27 and secured employment of their choice immediately!

Someone became CEO at 25 and died at 50 while another became a CEO at 50 and lived to 90 years.

Everyone works based on their 'Time Zone'
People can have things worked out only according to their pace. Work in your “time zone”.

Your Colleagues, friends, younger ones might "seem" to go ahead of you.
May be some might "seem" behind you.

Don't envy them or mock them, it's their 'Time Zone.'
You are in yours!

Hold on, be strong, and stay true to yourself. All things shall work together for your good. You’re not late … You are not early ... you’re very much On time!
Sri Sri
Gurudev SriSri RaviShankarji in Satsang today (27/4/2016) at Bangalore Ashram!!!

The effect of time is both on matter and mind. You keep an apple over time, it starts rottening, right. And when you look at any object you can find out how old it is. So like that time has an impact on matter too. Our body changes with time. Similarly time also has an impact on mind. This seldom people notice. How you feel in the morning is different from how you feel in the afternoon and it is different from how you feel in the evening. And how you feel in the night is much different and how you feel in every morning is more different, isn’t it?

The state of mind and the feeling also changes. Similarly thought pattern also gets affected by time. Winter, summer, spring all affect the mind differently. Ancient people did an in-depth study about it; how the moon affects the mind; how the moon is moving around in different constellations, different degrees of moon has a definite impact on the mind. That’s what they call ‘tara-bal’, ‘chandra-bal’, how it impacts. So moon is in one constellation for two and a half days, then moon moves to the other constellation. So in two and half days there are changes; the moods of the mind, mood swings, everything, it’s favourable or unfavourable vibrations, you feel like that. Then the question comes ‘are we slave of our mind?’ I say ‘No’, why because there is something beyond the mind, that is the ‘intellect’. When intellect is strong, it overcomes the impact of the mind. When intellect is weak, then the emotions overtakes the mind. And what if intellect also gets affected? It does get affected. Then there is something beyond the intellect and that is the ‘self’, that is ‘Shiva Tattva’! Shiva is a master of the time, ‘maha-kaal’, ‘grand-time’. So take refuge in the shiva tattva or the atma tattva or the self, higher self. The impact of time is minimised, both on the mind and on the body. So time impacts the mind, and time has definite measurements.

Time has impact on mind, similarly our company also affects us. What we hear that impacts our mind. The people with whom we are affects us. If we are in good company then it has good impact on us. If we are in bad company then negative feelings like anger, jealousy, etc., affects us. Good company gives a good feeling and in bad company the mind gets muddled up in complaining about the person, talking ill about somebody is negativity. All this is called bad company. Mind gets affected by time and company we keep. Then what is the third thing: food. Food is secondary, food is not that important. If the first two are okay then it can man over the menace of food. Company, Time and Food.

Now you observe your mind, whether any ups and downs are there going on right now. Hence, those who know time are called ‘devagya’. They know about time. All this is as per divine will of time. Rule of time is divine, related to gods, those who know time are called ‘devagya’.

What is above God, is ‘brahma-gyaan’! Brahma gyaani is much above devagya. Brahma gyaani is being centered in ‘self’ or ‘aatma’. What I am is what you are and what is everything else too. This firm experience and faith brings brahma gyaan; then nothing can shake you. Even if it appears that it is shaking but actually it is not, it makes you strong. Brahma gyaan is bigger than all other gyaan. All this satsang is brahma gyaan. ‘Shabd brahma gyaan’, take everything and proceed further together.[23:13,

Best advice if you're just starting or growing a business:

Best advice if you're just starting or growing a business:

Focus at your customer more than your product. Get fixed on your customer experience, and your product will keep changing to serve them best. But fix your product, and customers will find a path that fits them, with or without you.

If you're waiting on the street corner, wondering where all your customers are, this post is for you.

We've moved from the industrial age where it was all about the product and productization to the technological age where it's all about the customer and customization.

Instead of focusing at product development and production lines (which we learned about and were a part of at school), focus at customer experiences and customization lines.

Your business doesn't start when you have a product. It starts when you have a customer. So who is your perfect customer? Start from there and ask yourself (and them):

Problem - What's the problem they need solved?
Promise - What's the benefit you deliver to them by solving it?
Product - How will you solve it better than others?
Proof - Why should they trust you?

Keep upgrading your answers (and your products) regularly. Because what your customers need, their expectations and how

they are being served will keep changing fast. And once you get into flow, you'll begin to know what they need before them, and they'll begin pre-buying your next product.

"Get closer than ever to your customer. So close that you tell them what they need well before they realize it themselves." ~ Steve Jobs

The easiest way to future proof your business is to have customers that love you. The easiest way to fail is to love your idea or product more than you love your customers. So find your soul-market and fall in love all over again.

Richard Branson’s Top 12 Tips for Entrepreneurs

Richard Branson’s Top 12 Tips for Entrepreneurs:

This week, Richard is selling Virgin America to Alaska Airlines in a $2 billion deal - less than 10 years after he launched the airline. Even after selling it, he will still keep getting income by licensing the Virgin brand to the company.

This is yet another billion dollar deal that Richard’s Virgin Group has achieved while he spends eight months of the year on his Necker Island, where I’ve spent a few weeks with him over the last few years (here dressed as Pirates on his super-yacht, the Necker Belle).

What does it take to think more like Richard? Here’s my list of his Top 12 Tips that I’ve used - and recommend you use - to be a smarter entrepreneur:

Tip #1 - Listen more than you talk. Nobody learned anything by hearing themselves speak.

Tip #2 - Three steps to success: Hire great talent, give them the tools to succeed, and get out of the way.

Tip #3 - Train people well enough so they can leave, treat them well enough so they don't want to.

Tip #4 - It is only by being bold that you get anywhere. If you are a risk-taker, then the art is to protect the downside. The brave may not live forever – But the cautious do not live at all.

Tip #5 - Have courage. Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen.

Tip #6 - I never get the accountants in before I start up a business. It's done on gut feeling, especially if I can see that they are taking the mickey out of the consumer.

Tip #7 - You don't learn to walk by following rules. You learn by doing, and by falling over. One thing is certain in business. You and everyone around you will make mistakes.

Tip #8 - There is no greater thing you can do with your life and your work than follow your passions – in a way that serves the world and you. As soon as something stops being fun, I think it’s time to move on. Life is too short to be unhappy.

Tip #9 - Fun is at the core of the way I like to do business and it has been key to everything I've done from the outset. More than any other element, fun is the secret of Virgin's success.

Tip #10 - If somebody offers you an amazing opportunity but you are not sure you can do it, say yes – then learn how to do it later!

Tip #11 - I have always believed that the only way to cope with a cash crisis is not to contract but to try to expand out of it.

Tip #12 - For a successful entrepreneur it can mean extreme wealth. But with extreme wealth comes extreme responsibility. And the responsibility for me is to invest in creating new businesses, create jobs, employ people, and to put money aside to tackle issues where we can make a difference.

Which one or more of these could you start practicing today?

And to end, I’ll add my own tip to this list - take the time each year to connect with the role models who inspire you and, in the words of Richard, “Listen. It makes you sound smarter.”

BRAND Archetypes through lens -Indian-Brands

There has been so much already written about brand archetypes and this is certainly not one more of those articles. In fact, this is rather ...
